VANSOPINIONS OFFERS VOTING RECOMMENDATIONS

You might be wondering why there is such a great percentage of folks who have not yet made up their minds as to who or which way they are going to cast their votes in Nebraska on 2 November 2004. There are two reasons! First, the accuracy, reliability, dependability, and fairness of Van's opinions are sought after by thousands of patriotic, upstanding, family oriented, straight, all round good people. Second, there are some that are just so stupid that they can not comprehend the importance of their votes. Remember, Van does not discriminate against any person, party, candidate, non-candidate or even cigarette sucking deadbeats with regard to their race, color or greed.

The endorsements of dominant media outlets which local voters have grown to depend upon for information concerning candidates and issues are, in my opinion, biased to varying degrees upon the amount of dollars spent on advertisements placed with each of such. In fact, I believe a darn good lawsuit could be leveled at the Lincoln Journal Star Newspaper in the United States District Court for conduct which might be construed as election rigging which I believe is unlawful.

A newspaper can editorially endorse candidates and issues even if such endorsements are corrupted by advertising revenue. That is the prerogative of the owner and publisher of such and involves and unquestionable right even if such is for selfish purposes or a part of a devious agenda. However, the publication of a summary "slate" or a recap of the editorial endorsements made just days before the election is something which, in my less than humble opinion, is intended and specifically crafted to sway voters who are uninformed, misinformed and just plain stupid. Since I am not an attorney, if anyone is moved to take such action he, she, it or they would do well to engage legal services of a lawyer who has achieved a "meaner than a junk yard dog" reputation in the community. I know several if you need help in finding one.

The Lincoln Journal Star, I believe, through slanted, biased and even what some would call "Yellow" journalism does enough damage to the free election process to make The Founders - the chaps who crafted the so-called "Right to free speech" - weep. Over the years, the professionalism of the publishers of the Lincoln local newspaper has, in my opinion, become somewhere beneath pathetic. As long as the folks at "Lee Enterprises" set on their "duffs" in Iowa and ignore or even worse condone the left-wing liberal tone of the great majority of articles published in the Lincoln Journal Star, the folks who rely solely upon the quality, accuracy and content of such to make their election day decisions will often make serious mistakes when they cast their ballots.

Unlike newspapers which most believe should present the news in an unbiased, fair and square form, vansopinion.com is designed and intended to present my views and opinions. Since no advertising appears herein, there is absolutely no way I can be "biased, bribed or bought" with "bucks." It should be or at least become obvious that while I profess and confess to being a "compassionate conservative" and a Christian gentleman, you will never find in my writings any sign of "cranial constipation" or "punch-pulling" when it comes to giving you, the good folks who take the time and do me the honor of reading my opinions anything but the truth as best as I am able to obtain it and share it. I am always open to and invite legitimate challenges from those who dare to take me on.

Log on several times before election day to get the latest information and recommendations to help you make good decisions ans wise voting. You can also log on after election day and see how wrong you were if you did not follow my recommendations.
