SUN-KIST DRY CLEANERS OF HAVELOCK GETS VAN'S FIRST ENDORSEMENT
Posted on Wednesday, May 11 @ 21:24:19 CDT by van

Good, Bad, and Ugly Those who know me will attest to how particular I am about how my suit and sport coats are pressed. After a number of years using other cleaners in Lincoln with stores closer to my home, I have, like many others, started taking my garments needing cleaning to Sun-Kist. My family has absolute confidence in Dan Doran, the cleaner's owner and operator and that he will personally insure high quality work is done for a reasonable price. Sun-Kist Dry Cleaners of Havelock has earned my first endorsement!

If I was accused of being a grouchy curmudgeon when it comes to cleaning, I would have to plead guilty. When you pay today's prices for suits, sport coats, slacks and winter coats, you want them to last a while and to look nice. Some cleaners in Lincoln, must hire monkeys, to do the pressing of men's garments. Sleeves and lapels pressed flat (mangled with a mangle) are not acceptable and, in my opinion, shorten the serviceable life of the garments. Hot pressing of trousers may often leave expensive trousers shiny and unsightly.

I always specify that my coat lapels are to be "rolled" and that care should be taken so as not to make elbows of coats and fronts of trousers "shiny." On one occasion, with another of Lincoln's oldest cleaners, I had to send back a garment three times. On another occasion, an expensive wool sport coat was ruined by improper cleaning and pressing. I was almost reconciled to taking my cleaning needs to a business in one of the neighboring communities. My son Ron, who is also particular about his appearance clued me in on the high-quality work done by Sun-Kist. I gave it a try and was immediately converted.

About a half block south of 62nd and Havelock Avenue one will see a building on the west side of the street which looks like a 1940 vintage Quonset hut. The curved metal building with a modern front is the home of Sun-Kist Dry Cleaners. The address is 4317 North 62nd and the phone number is (402) 466-0955.

Dan advertises "Professional Services - Community Courtesy - Low Rates and Same Day Service." I can vouch for the motto of Sun-Kist being right on target - "Where Personal Service Counts." You get 30 years of experience and a friendly greeting from Dan Doran every time you take your cleaning needs to Sun-Kist Dry Cleaners of Havelock. If you have a special need for a rush job, just let Dan know and he'll take care of it!

The high quality of workmanship and old fashioned "service with a smile" make traveling all the way across Lincoln, if necessary, to have your garments handled just the way you want them to be handled.

Try Sun-Kist Dry Cleaners yourself the next time you need dry cleaning to be done and you will see first hand why I am giving Sun-Kist Dry Cleaners of Havelock my unconditional endorsement. When you visit his business, tell Dan that Van recommended his business to all the good folks who read vansopinion.com.....and that's now a bunch.

For the record, this endorsement is, and every one of my future endorsements will be, given without any promise or expectation of any compensation or remuneration whatsoever. My reward is knowing I have put in a good word for a deserving business owner or operator and from the positive feed-back I get from my readers who appreciate knowing there are still folks in business who give their customers the "personal touch" good service.
